Job summary
Vanir Construction Management, Inc. in Sacramento is seeking an experienced CEQA Project Manager to lead planning and management activities for CEQA compliance from project identification through closeout.
The role directs environmental reviews, manages consultants and staff, prepares IS/MND/EIRs, reviews reports, and ensures adherence to state and federal laws. Strong knowledge of CEQA guidelines, project management, and budget oversight is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, or related field.
- 5+ years CEQA/environmental planning experience, including managing CEQA projects.
- Proficiency with EIRs, MNDs, ISs and CEQA guidelines.
- Experience with Prolog and Primavera is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage production of CEQA documents including EIRs, MNDs, ISs.
- Conduct CEQA analyses and prepare related documents.
- Provide direction on compliance with state and federal laws.
- Coordinate technical studies with agencies and consultants.
- Prepare environmental permit applications and plans.
- Oversee budget, schedules, and contract compliance.
- Direct field surveys and site evaluations.
