Job summary

Gafcon PM-CM LLC is seeking a Project Manager, CEQA in San Diego to lead environmental planning and CEQA compliance across the District's capital program. You will coordinate with environmental consultants, legal counsel, and project teams to ensure timely documentation and regulatory alignment.

The role requires 5+ years in CEQA/environmental planning, strong management skills, and the ability to drive cross‑functional collaboration in a fast-paced, public-sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental planning, urban planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional CEQA, environmental planning/compliance, project management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing CEQA processes and environmental compliance for public-sector projects.
• Experience with public agencies and stakeholders is strongly preferred.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert and primary coordinator for CEQA and environmental compliance requirements.
• Support the District's EIR program, including coordination, management, and updates to EIR-related documents and program requirements.
• Develop and maintain guidelines, procedures, and best practices for CEQA management across the capital program.
• Coordinate CEQA strategy with District leadership, GC, and project teams.
• Manage environmental consultants and third-party resources from design through construction.
• Review environmental documents and studies for completeness and compliance.
