BKF Engineers is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead CEQA/NEPA projects and expand our environmental planning services across California. The role involves client engagement, leadership, strategic planning, staff development, and business development across California markets.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in leadership roles supervising planning and environmental professionals, with strong CEQA/NEPA experience in land development, transportation, and municipal sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
• AICP certification desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing planning and environmental professionals.
• Experience supervising staff and managing CEQA/NEPA projects in California.

Responsibilities

• Lead CEQA/NEPA projects and expansion of Environmental Planning Practice in California.
• Build project portfolio and staff of environmental professionals.
• Engage clients, lead strategic planning, and develop business opportunities.
• Oversee environmental document preparation, studies, and peer reviews.
• Mentor and supervise environmental staff and ensure high-quality work products.
• Coordinate multi-agency/planning efforts and manage project scope, timelines, and budgets.
• Represent BKF in industry forums, associations, and conferences.
