Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Central Services Technician in Seattle to perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and prepare case carts for procedures. You will track instruments electronically and work with Materials Coordinators to ensure timely replenishment of supplies.

The role requires formal CST training or certification, plus several years of related hospital experience in sterile processing.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test.
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association or National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution.
• Three years of related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital Sterile Processing/Central Services.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation and case carts.
• Assemble surgical case carts from a predefined preference list with implants and packs.
• Par and replenish soft supplies; receive and distribute Central Services supplies.
• Operate instrument tracking system and keep sterility documentation accurate.
