Job summary

Providence Swedish Medical Center is seeking a Central Services Technician to perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation. You will assemble case carts for procedures, manage material par levels, and work with an Instrument Tracking System and a handheld ordering device.

The role includes weekend coverage and support across Swedish campuses, with strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test.
• 1 year of related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital Sterile Processing/Central Services environment
• Materials management and/or supply chain experience

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.
• Assemble and deliver surgical/interventional case carts.
• Par and replenish materials; manage soft supplies in the surgical core.
• Operate Instrument Tracking System and electronic handheld ordering device.
• Provide weekend coverage and support across Swedish campuses.
