Job summary

HANAC, Inc. is seeking a Program Director to oversee the Queensview Older Adult Center, ensuring full operational leadership and high-quality programming in alignment with DFTA contracts.

The role leads staff, plans activities across exercise, nutrition, arts, technology, and recreation; maintains client records and reports; and manages the center budget, procurement, and partnerships to support aging individuals and center growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field with 2+ years’ aging population experience
• Associate Degree with 3+ years’ aging population and senior center operations experience
• Excellent program management and operational oversight skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds
• High level of dependability, professionalism, and flexibility

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of overall senior center operations and readiness
• Administer and develop innovative programming for healthy aging and member engagement
• Plan and implement activities in line with DFTA requirements (exercise, nutrition, arts, tech, recreation)
• Maintain client records and DFTA database; track participation and units of service
• Prepare and submit monthly unit and expense reports; assist leadership with reports
• Lead staff, interns, and volunteers; conduct evaluations and development
• Engage advisory boards and plan member meetings
• Establish community partnerships; represent HANAC at events
• Manage center budget, purchasing, and center materials
• Develop monthly calendars and menus for center operations
