Job summary

Commonpoint in Forest Hills, NY, seeks a Program Director for Older Adult Services to lead the Central Queens Older Adult Center, oversee daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality programming for older adults.

The role requires an MSW with NYS LMSW license, 5+ years in program management, and strong community outreach, data reporting, and collaboration skills. In-person role, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, with occasional evenings and travel between sites.

Qualifications

• MSW from an accredited program and NYS LMSW license required.
• Minimum of 5 years program management experience in a community-based social service setting.
• Experience supervising staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of older adult services and referral systems.
• Ability to travel between agency sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Central Queens Older Adult Center operations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate programming for older adults.
• Supervise staff, interns, instructors, and volunteers.
• Engage in community outreach and partnerships to increase access to services.
• Ensure contract compliance and timely reporting.
