Job summary

City of Hobbs is seeking a responsive OutreachWorker for the Hobbs Senior Center to deliver meals to homebound clients, engage with the community, and share information about available services. The role involves visiting clients, coordinating with staff, and supporting program participants to maintain active involvement in senior activities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of clerical experience, with bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred with 1 year of previous clerical experience required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to homebound clients daily in a safe and efficient manner.
• Actively seeks out and participates in community events to distribute information about services.
• Gathers and maintains resources for senior citizen service providers.
• Assist in performing client assessments and reassessments.
• Assist in data entry of assessments into the state database as mandated.
• Assist with transportation of members as needed.
• Provide information to citizens about services at the Senior Center.
• Establish and maintain contact with families of program participants.
• Answer phones and direct inquiries to appropriate organizations.
