Job summary

City of Hobbs is seeking a kitchen aide to prepare and maintain the meal site for daily luncheons. You will assist seniors, serve meals, monitor food temperatures, and ensure proper storage and sanitation of the kitchen.

Responsibilities include inventory, dishwashing, and helping with beverages and condiments. Education: HS diploma or GED preferred; food prep experience helpful. Position is on-site and includes standard city job benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior food prep experience helpful.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food handling is essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly, read instructions, and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meal site and kitchen for daily luncheon service.
• Wipe down and sanitize work areas; maintain clean dishes and surfaces.
• Prepare coffee/tea and replenish condiments daily.
• Monitor refrigerator/freezer temperatures and record results.
• Assist seniors with meals and transport if needed; serve meals in line.
• Inventory supplies and coordinate with vendors for restocking.
