Job summary

Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens is looking for a Cook to oversee meal preparation and distribution at their Older Adult Centers. The cook will also supervise kitchen staff, maintain health and safety standards, and ensure adherence to funding regulations.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience working in a commercial kitchen as a cook or assistant cook.
• Knowledge of USDA's Dietary Guidelines, NYC Food Standards and DFTA guidelines.
• Able to travel to multiple locations within the five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and supervise portioning and serving food.
• Maintain record of food usage and assist in taking monthly inventories.
• Complete computerized monthly self-inspection checklists and daily logs.
