Job summary

Asterism IT Solutions in Menlo Park, CA is looking for an experienced Cellular DevOps Engineer to join the Wearables Cellular Engineering team on a 6‑month contract. This onsite role combines 5G/LTE network engineering, RF lab operations, DevOps automation, Python development, and cellular test infrastructure, with responsibilities spanning configuration, provisioning, and automated testing.

Qualifications

10+ years in cellular/wireless engineering, DevOps, or related infrastructure.
Hands-on 5G NR and LTE networks experience.
Experience with cellular network operations, RF measurements, and UE attach/registration.
Strong Python programming and Linux system administration.
Familiarity with JavaScript and test automation frameworks (Jest).
Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code concepts.

Responsibilities

Configure and maintain private 5G/LTE networks, small cells, and callbox infrastructure.
Analyze RF measurements (RSRP, RSRQ, SINR) and optimize performance.
Develop and integrate automated infrastructure and test services into CI/CD pipelines.
Build production automation using Python and manage databases like MySQL.
Develop cellular E2E tests using JavaScript/Jest and Thrift integrations.
Support lab operations including network/configuration and asset-management.
