Job summary

Peraton Labs is seeking a Senior 5G DevOps Engineer to support a cleared research program focusing on advanced networking and 5G/telecom systems. You will deploy, automate, configure, integrate, and troubleshoot Linux, networking, virtualization, and cloud-native environments to build 5G testbeds.

The ideal candidate has hands-on Linux, DevOps, and networking skills and can support dynamic secure research environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 14 years of relevant experience with BS/BA; 12 years with MS/MA; or 9 years with PhD.
• Strong Linux systems experience and scripting/programming ability.
• Experience with DevOps, automation, and container-based environments.
• Clearance and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee software development teams and coordinate installations.
• Support 4G/5G telecom testbeds, core networks, RAN, IMS, and related components.
• Build and maintain containerized/cloud-native environments with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Develop automation for provisioning, configuration, testing, deployment and operations.
• Configure networks, troubleshoot infra, and support lab environments.
• Document configurations and runbooks; work with government and subcontractors.
