Job summary

CDM Smith's CEI team is seeking a candidate to inspect and monitor construction activities at the project site(s). Inspector must perform the most complex inspections for at least 2 of the 5 categories: roadway, bridges, drainage, erosion & control, and maintenance & traffic.

This on-site field position offers exposure to diverse project locations, requires the ability to read plans and specs, and involves travel up to 40% with valid driver's license and eligible certifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ACI/NICET certifications if required by client.
• Valid driver's license required.
• 6 years of related experience.
• Travel up to 40% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and routine inspections to ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Review drawings to prepare inspections.
• Document inspection results and communicate to supervisor.
• Read and explain construction plans and contract provisions.
• Maintain and operate required inspection equipment.
