Job summary

Volkert Inc. is seeking experienced senior and entry-level CEI Inspectors to support the Southeast Region in Florida. Candidates must have a high school diploma and either construction inspection experience or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree. FDOT certifications, drug screening, and a valid driver's license are required.

The role involves performing computations, site inspections, field tests, and detailed daily reports under supervision.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years of experience in construction inspection, one year in bridge/roadway construction or an Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree.
FDOT certifications to be earned within one year (provided by Volkert).
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening per federal guidelines.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR).

Responsibilities

Making and checking engineering computations.
Inspecting construction work.
Conducting field tests.
Writes daily inspection reports, verifies testing and documents results and observations.
Assists in all types of record keeping and field measurements.
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.
