Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced Construction Inspector to join our Florida CEI team, delivering transportation infrastructure projects for FDOT and regional clients. You will perform roadway and bridge inspections, support quality control, and document field activities under the Project Administrator's guidance.

The role requires 2 years of inspection experience or EI certification with a civil engineering degree, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative

Qualifications

• 2 years of construction inspection experience, including roadway/bridge inspection.
• Knowledge of roadway and bridge construction practices and QA requirements.
• Familiarity with FDOT standards, specs, and construction administration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document construction inspections on roadway and bridge projects to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct and oversee field testing activities, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of results.
• Support project administration activities, including maintaining project records and preparing inspection reports.
• Assist with monitoring contractor operations and identifying potential issues that may impact project quality, schedule, or compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, clients, and agency representatives to support successful project delivery.
• Utilize construction management and inspection software to document activities and maintain project records.
