Job summary

RS&H is seeking a senior level CE&I Project Manager to join our team serving the Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, and Orangeburg SC areas. You will oversee day-to-day administration and delivery of roadway and bridge projects for SCDOT, acting as the primary liaison among SCDOT, contractors, and consultants.

The role requires leading CE&I staff and ensuring compliance with contract documents, SCDOT standards, schedules, and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related engineering discipline from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license in South Carolina.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible transportation construction/inspection/contract-administration experience.
• Experience leading SCDOT projects as PM/Resident Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation and administration of SC roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Serve as primary liaison with SCDOT, contractors, consultants and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor CE&I staff including engineers, inspectors and technicians.
• Direct inspection, sampling, testing, and documentation activities.
• Monitor compliance with plans, specs, and SCDOT standards.
• Oversee quantity verification, pay-item documentation, and monthly estimates.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance on site.
