Job summary

Mead & Hunt's South Carolina transportation construction practice seeks a senior CE&I leader to grow and strengthen our team in SC. Based in Lexington, SC, you will lead construction engineering and inspection efforts on SCDOT projects and coordinate with field teams, contractors, and agency partners.

This is a visible leadership role requiring PE licensure, eight+ years of DOT project experience, and the ability to manage schedules, quality, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license required.
• Experience leading DOT transportation construction projects.
• Experience overseeing contractors, inspection teams, and document control.
• Knowledge of roadway, bridge, and interstate projects.
• Willingness to travel and work from SC locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead CE&I projects for SCDOT roadway, bridge, interchange, widening, interstate, or related transportation construction projects.
• Oversee inspection teams, contractors, subconsultants, and document control
• Coordinate project documentation, pay quantities, daily reports, records, change orders, and closeout.
• Support pursuits, proposals, and technical approaches for SC opportunities.
• Drive growth and strengthen Mead & Hunt’s presence in South Carolina.
