Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced CDL Driver Recruiter to identify, qualify, and hire top-notch OTR Class A CDL drivers. This on-site role supports a well-established transportation partner with 35+ years in the Southeast shipping and logistics space.

You will recruit for multiple load types, source candidates through job fairs and direct outreach, conduct interviews and verifications, and maintain strong communication with drivers through every step of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of OTR/CDL driver recruiting experience.
• Strong understanding of the trucking and transportation industry.
• Proven ability to find and attract qualified drivers.
• Experience with driver verification and background processes.
• Comfortable speaking with drivers and representing the company at job fairs.
• Strong computer, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and hire Class A CDL/OTR drivers.
• Develop and execute effective driver recruiting strategies.
• Source candidates through multiple channels, including job fairs and direct recruiting.
• Conduct interviews, screenings, background checks, and required verifications.
• Maintain strong communication with drivers throughout the recruiting process.
• Work closely with management to identify and fill driver needs.
• Recruit for multiple load types and operational requirements.
• Stay current on DOT regulations and transportation industry requirements.
• Utilize recruiting systems, computers, and communication tools effectively.
