Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist to optimize the accuracy and completeness of provider documentation. You will lead second-level reviews, mentor CDI staff, and collaborate with physicians and coding to improve reimbursement and outcomes.

The role requires RN background with CDS/CDIP preferred, and 3+ years in acute care or CDI in a hospital setting. Strong analytical, communication, and EMR skills are essential.

Qualifications

• RN required.
• BSN preferred.
• CDDS or CDIP certification preferred.
• 3+ years acute care or 3+ years CDI/clinical documentation improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform second-level reviews to improve documentation accuracy and coding.
• Query physicians to clarify missing or conflicting information.
• Mentor CDI team members and deliver education programs.
• Collaborate with coding, physicians, and revenue cycle leadership to improve reimbursement and outcomes.
