Job summary

WSP is seeking a CBTC Project Commercial Manager to support one or more CBTC projects for New York MTA. You will lead commercial activities, manage project controls, and ensure contract compliance across pre-award, award, and construction phases.

This is a full-time onsite role reporting to the National Commercial Management Practice Lead. You will collaborate with project teams, legal, and finance to drive data-driven controls, risk management, and successful financial outcomes while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, legal studies or business management or related field.
• 15 years of experience with major infrastructure, transportation, or water/utility capital projects.
• Expertise in construction contract change management, claims analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong background in project controls, cost forecasting, schedule analysis, and risk management.
• Ability to produce executive-level cost, schedule, risk, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial and project controls oversight from start-up to closeout and dispute resolution.
• Develop and apply CMP aligning with PMT project controls standards and contracts.
• Establish a Performance Oversight Management Program for monitoring design-builder progress.
• Conduct value engineering evaluations and perform cost management duties.
• Oversee payments, invoicing, and reporting of diversity goals.
