Job summary

SummitET is seeking a full-time DHS CBRN/WMD Detection Operations SME in Novato, California, to support the MDDU and DHS programs nationwide. You will oversee equipment readiness, conduct CBRN detection operations, and coordinate with federal, state, and local partners.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, field deployment readiness, and travel up to 75% of the month, including potential extended missions.

Qualifications

Experience in chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear (CBRN) detection with emphasis on radiological/N detection.
5 years' experience in radiation detection training and supporting detection operations at events or steady state operations.
Knowledge of representative detection equipment (PRD,RIIDs, backpacks, RSI-701).
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET-level clearance and DHS suitability.
Must have a valid driver's license and ability to maintain a CDL.

Responsibilities

Track and maintain care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
Conduct inventories of DHS MDDU property and update tracking information.
Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated, and maintained for deployment 24/7
Perform CBRN detection operations with federal, state, and local agencies and stakeholders.
Train and assist in CBRN exercises and after-action reports.
Travel 50-75% of the month within contiguous US and territories.
