Job summary

SummitET is seeking a full-time DHS CBRN/WMD Detection Operations SME-New Jersey to support the MDDU nationwide. The role involves maintaining CBRN detection readiness, conducting operations, training, and exercises for federal, state, and local partners.

The position requires 5+ years in CBRN/radiation detection, travel 50–75%, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Based in Fort Dix, NJ, the candidate will coordinate with DHS and allied agencies and ensure readiness of detection

Qualifications

Experience in CBRN detection with emphasis on radiation/nuclear.
5+ years' experience in radiation detection training and event support.
Knowledgeable in using a range of radiation detection equipment (PRDs, RIIDs, backsacks).
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level national security clearance and DHS Suitability.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within six months.

Responsibilities

Track and maintain care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment and radioactive sources.
Conduct inventories and update tracking information.
Ensure equipment is repaired, calibrated, and maintained for deployment 24/7.
Perform CBRN detection operations with DHS and law enforcement partners.
Coordinate deployments and report on planning and taskings.
Prepare after-action reports and status updates.
Travel 50–75% within the contiguous US and territories.
