Job summary

St. Joseph Health in Bryan, TX is seeking a Cath Lab Tech to support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab.

You will operate ancillary lab equipment including IVUS, pressure wires, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet, and assist physicians with scrubbing and radiation safety to ensure high-quality patient care. Candidates must have an Associate's Degree, RCIS within 18 months of hire, BLS within 14 days, and ACLS within 6 months;

Qualifications

• Associates of Science Degree.
• RCIS within 18 months of hire.
• BLS from American Heart Association within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac caths and related procedures.
• Operate and manage lab equipment like IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet.
• Scrub at tableside and assist physicians with procedures, ensuring radiation safety.
• Record patient data, document events, and calculate valve areas.
• Maintain logs of medications, hemodynamics, supplies, and procedures.
