Job summary

HSHS Medical Group, located in Springfield, MO, seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist III for dedicated on-call coverage in the Cath Lab at St. John’s Hospital.

You will assist physicians during invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures, monitor patients, pass instruments, and maintain sterile fields with data interpretation to aid physicians. The role requires an Associate degree in radiologic technology or related field, 4 years of

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or equivalent.
• 4 years of cath lab radiologic technologist experience required.
• Radiographer license in state of practice required.
• ARRT RT(R) certification required; CI certification preferred or RCIS acceptable.
• BLS and ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient responses and maintain sterile field.
• Pass instruments and catheters and assist with data interpretation for physician use.
• Operate equipment generating ionizing radiation with autonomous practice.

Education

Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program

Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice

ARRT RT(R) certification

Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) certification (ARRT)

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
