Job summary

HSHS St. Vincent Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist III for dedicated call coverage in the Cath Lab Imaging area.

The role involves assisting physicians with invasive and diagnostic procedures, monitoring, instrument handling, and maintaining sterile conditions during complex cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology cases. Requirements include an Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent, 4 years cath lab experience, state licensure, ARRT

Qualifications

• Associates degree in radiologic technology or equivalent required.
• 4 years of cath lab radiologic technologist experience required.
• State licensure as Radiographer required.
• ARRT RT(R) certification required.
• Advanced certifications preferred: CI or RCIS.
• BLS required; ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, neuro and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient status, pass instruments and catheters, and maintain sterile field.
• Interpret and evaluate diagnostic data to assist the physician.
• Operate equipment producing ionizing radiation with autonomy and minimal supervision.

Education

Associates degree in radiologic technology / allied health / applied science or completion of certificate/training program

Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice

ARRT RT(R) certification

Advanced certification: CI or RCIS (preferred)

BLS certification

ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
