Job Description for Senior Catering Captain at Texas A&M

Location: Texas A&M, 1600 TAMU, College Station, TX 77843

Schedule: Full-time; hours and days vary based on events; open availability preferred.

Requirements: Experience in catering supervision, food preparation, and serving.

Pay Range: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Supervise Catering Department employees, prepare and serve food at functions, and possibly drive a truck for deliveries.

Essential Duties

• Supervise catering staff and assist with performance appraisals.
• Determine workload based on catering orders.
• Coordinate with function leaders on setup and last-minute changes.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and work area.
• Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and relay concerns.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required.
