Job Description: Senior Catering Captain

Location: Texas A&M, College Station, TX 77843

Position: Full-time Senior Catering Captain

Schedule: Full-time; hours and days vary based on events. Open availability preferred.

Requirements: Experience in catering supervision, food preparation, and serving.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

Supervise Catering Department employees, prepare and serve food at functions, and may drive a truck for food and beverage delivery.

Essential Duties

• Supervise employees and assist in performance appraisals.
• Determine workload from catering orders.
• Coordinate setup with function group leaders, handle last-minute changes and resolve issues.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
• Interact with customers, address complaints, and relay concerns to supervisors.
• Follow sanitation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Must obtain or possess a food handler’s permit and/or alcohol servers permit as required by law.
