Job Title: Senior Catering Captain

Location: Marywood University - 2300 Adams Avenue, Scranton, PA 18509

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary, including weekends. More details provided upon interview.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Requirements: Catering, management, and customer service experience required. Valid driver's license may be required. Ability to obtain a food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers permit where required.

Job Summary

Supervise Catering Department employees, prepare and serve food at functions, and possibly deliver food and beverages to catered events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supervise Catering Department employees and assist with performance appraisals.
2. Determine workload requirements based on catering orders.
3. Coordinate with function group leaders for setup and address last-minute changes.
4. Assemble and deliver food and supplies to catering functions.
5. Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
6. Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment and work area.
7. Interact with customers, resolve complaints, and relay concerns to supervisors.
8. Follow sanitation and safety principles in handling food and equipment.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.
