Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a Category Management professional to drive cross-functional collaboration and develop strategic category plans that maximize sales and profitability.

You will own assortment planning, negotiate promotions, analyze market data (Nielsen/IRI), and build strong supplier relationships while delivering industry-leading results. This role requires a Bachelor's degree, 1–4 years in merchandising, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior experience with category

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1–4 years of store level merchandising and retail background preferred.
• Experience with market data/consumer research (Nielsen/IRI) preferred.
• Working knowledge of category management principles.
• Strong business fundamentals, performance measurement and financials.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Results oriented and able to work in a team or independently.
• People management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives cross-functional collaboration to meet sales, profitability and inventory goals.
• Collaborate with pricing, marketing, legal, planning, inventory, finance, sales and operations.
• Manage supplier relationships and product portfolio to drive financial results.
• Develop and deploy strategic category plans and merchandising programs.
• Own category assortment planning and planogram review.
• Initiate, negotiate and execute category promotional plans.
• Maintain positive trade relations and negotiate favorable terms.
• Obtain category knowledge, market intelligence and competitive insights.
• Analyze data to assess sales patterns and financial impact.
• Assess complex situations and determine best path forward with limited guidance.
