Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Sr Category Leader based in Kentucky to drive category strategy, maximize value, and reduce costs across key supplier segments. You will lead cross-functional teams in supplier qualification, RFPs, negotiations, and LTAs, ensuring alignment with business goals and risk management.

In this leadership role you will shape procurement programs, manage spend, and negotiate favorable terms while addressing supplier issues and driving long-term savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of Category Management, Procurement, and/or Sourcing experience.
• 5+ years using supply chain software such as JDE, Oracle, or SAP.
• 5+ years of contract negotiation and review experience.

Responsibilities

• Manages assigned Category(s) to maximize value, reduce costs, and mitigate risks.
• Leads execution of procurement tasks including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and program implementation.
• Works with cross-functional teams to qualify and approve suppliers for business needs.
• Responds to price trend and process changes to support category strategy and procurement.
• Controls spend and drives long-term savings on procurement costs.
• Addresses critical supplier issues and problems.
• Develops and executes RFPs supporting category strategy.
• Negotiates and executes payment terms with suppliers.
• Leads strategic sourcing for secondary sourcing and new product development.
• Analyzes contract performance for compliance and change needs.
• Executes LTAs with suppliers.
