Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Sr Category Leader to drive strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and LTAs for key categories across global operations. You will develop long-term category strategies that align supplier capabilities with business goals.

The role partners with cross-functional teams to optimize spend, negotiate favorable terms, and implement cost-saving programs while mitigating risk. A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in Category Management are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years in Category Management, Procurement or Sourcing.
• 5+ years using SCM software such as JDE, Oracle, or SAP.
• 5+ years negotiating contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned Category(s) to maximize value, reduce costs and mitigate risks.
• Lead procurement tasks including RFPs, negotiations, cost accountability, and program implementation.
• Qualify and approve suppliers to fulfill business needs with cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate and execute LTAs with suppliers and manage payment terms.
