Job summary

Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Category Development to deliver data-driven recommendations and strategic insights that drive growth across Western US retailers.

The role partners with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions using syndicated data, store-level analytics, and primary research. Location is flexible in the Western time zone with travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ category management experience in CPG/Category Analyst roles.
• Experience with Circana/Nielsen data preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills.
• Ability to tell data-driven selling stories.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and align priorities.
• Attend sales calls and market visits to identify opportunities.
• Analyze monthly performance to surface risks and opportunities.
• Optimize assortment, pricing, and promotions for Western US retailers.
• Deliver high-quality reports on category performance and KPIs.
• Lead annual planning and develop forecasts.
• Plan customer meeting workflows and post-meeting debriefs, translate learnings into insights.
• Present insights to retailers and internal senior leadership.
