Job summary

ReaderLink Distribution Services seeks a Category Advisor for Walmart to drive growth by translating data into strategic recommendations. You will partner with Walmart merchant teams, influence merchandising, pricing, and promotions, and lead analytics that support omnichannel growth.

The role requires advanced analytics with Circana/Scintilla, SQL, Power BI, and strong presentation skills for senior leadership audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or related discipline is required.
• Master's degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Finance, or related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years of category management, shopper insights, or business analytics experience in CPG or retail; Walmart/top-tier mass merchant experience required.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a category advisor is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency with Circana; advanced Excel and PowerPoint is required.
• Ability to translate complex data into compelling stories for VP/C-level presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive category analysis using Circana, Scintilla, and Walmart data platforms to uncover growth opportunities and threats across book categories.
• Drive retailer sales growth by delivering actionable insights influencing merchandising, assortment, pricing, and promotions.
• Build strategic partnerships with Walmart merchant teams and act as the analytic liaison for Line Reviews, QBRs, and planning sessions.
• Deliver dashboards tracking sales, market share, and initiative impact; perform deep-dive analyses on shopper behavior and basket patterns.
