Job summary

Mayzon in Bentonville, AR, seeks a Category Advisor to be the primary contact with Walmart buyers and internal teams. You will lead category management initiatives, develop in-aisle strategies, and create planograms to boost Walmart's category performance.

The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days on site in Mayzon's Bentonville office. The ideal candidate has Walmart experience, space planning software expertise, strong data analysis and presentation skills, and a proven ability to turn insights into

Qualifications

• Experience with Wal-Mart and their Scintilla systems required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• CPG experience necessary.
• Experience in sales, analytics and planning, category management, or brand management.
• Demonstrated ability in analyzing data, formulating recommendations, and developing presentations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and maintain category management initiatives for key categories at Wal-Mart.
• Identify and track current and future sales trends and express as market share results relative to the appropriate portion of the marketplace.
• Identify and implement sales and customer analysis to help influence decision making in the modular process.
• Analyze planograms to optimize assortment based on productivity, pricing, promotions, product, or placement utilizing third-party data sources (e.g., Yipitdata) or POS systems.
• Build and maintain planograms that maximize sales and productivity and support account strategies.
• Complete quarterly and seasonal analysis of planogram sets and industry trends; make recommendations to buyers to improve sales and space-to-sales performance.
• Build competitive awareness through in-store visits and market data platforms.
• Be a trusted partner and advisor to the buyer, delivering strategic recommendations on improvements in selling strategies for the account.
• Provide ad hoc reports and support to the team.
• Maintain confidentiality of Walmart category and competitive data.
