Job summary

Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions is seeking a Corporate Casualty Underwriting Director for the North American Specialty Underwriting Team. This remote leadership role oversees corporate underwriting, governance, and portfolio performance across casualty lines, with collaboration across U.S., Canada, UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 10 years of casualty underwriting experience including General Casualty, Construction Casualty and/or E&S Casualty.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing underwriting professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead casualty underwriting strategy, governance, and portfolio management to achieve profitability and growth.
• Oversee portfolio performance across Casualty lines including rate adequacy and exposure management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish underwriting guidelines, referral standards, and governance.
• Provide technical direction on complex casualty risks and coverage structures.
• Mentor and develop corporate underwriting team and communicate priorities.
