Job summary

EMC Insurance is seeking an experienced senior underwriting leader to provide strategic direction and oversight for an assigned line of business. You will guide the strategy, execution, and governance of complex products and programs at the enterprise level while mentoring the underwriting team.

You will drive enterprise standards, collaborate with regional offices, and influence business decisions through clear communication to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in insurance or business and/or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience; at least five years in leadership roles.
• Professional certifications such as CPCU/AU/CIC are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns strategy, execution, and governance for the assigned LOB.
• Leads development of underwriting standards, tools, and best practices.
• Mentors teams, partners with regional offices, and communicates recommendations to executives.
