Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist/Claims Technical Director for the Alternative Markets unit. This fully remote role requires deep claims experience, leadership, and the ability to work within regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include evaluating coverage, establishing reserves, negotiating settlements, and providing technical guidance. The position may require travel and involves coaching staff while ensuring timely, compliant claim payments.

Qualifications

• Investigates and negotiates complex claims including coverage determinations.
• Manages reserves and settlements within authority; provides guidance to staff.
• Coaches and mentors junior staff and coordinates with other teams.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims including reviews of coverage/liability.
• Secures and analyzes information (reports, policies, contracts) for claims investigations.
• Attends arbitrations, mediations, depositions or trials as needed.
