Great American Insurance Group is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist/Claims Technical Director for its Alternative Markets unit. This fully remote role with some travel requires a strong background in complex commercial general liability claims and a licensed adjuster or willingness to obtain one.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of claims experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and familiarity with New York labor claims. Salary ranges from $120,000 to $150,000 based on experience.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Liberal Arts, Business or related discipline.
• 10+ years of related experience in claims.
• New York Labor claims experience is strongly preferred.
• Active adjuster license preferred (TX or FL); willingness to obtain license.
• Experience handling complex commercial general liability claims.
• Business Unit: Alternative Markets.

Responsabilidades

• Investigates and maintains claims: reviews and evaluates coverage and liability.
• Secures and analyzes information (reports, policies, contracts, releases, statements, etc.).
• Works toward resolution of claims, attends arbitrations/depositions/trials as necessary.
• Establishes reserves and negotiates settlements within prescribed limits.
• Provides technical advice to lower-level positions and other functional areas.
• Ensures timely and accurate claim payments.
• Ensures compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, and company procedures.
