Job summary

Thermo Bond Buildings LLC is seeking a Casting Supervisor to oversee daily operations for casting beds, forms, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, curing, and demolding at our Elkhart, IN location. The role requires leading a crew in a fast-paced precast environment and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, coordinate with QC, and drive efficiency with OSHA-compliant practices and ERP-based production tracking.

Qualifications

Experience supervising precast or construction crews.
Ability to read blueprints/shop drawings and production specs.
Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety practices.
Experience with ERP or production-tracking systems.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S principles.
Physically able to work a 10-hour shift.

Responsibilities

Direct daily operations for casting beds, forms, reinforcement, pouring, finishing, curing, and demolding.
Assign tasks, train operators, monitor performance, and maintain labor efficiency.
Ensure compliance with designs, reinforcement placement, dimensional accuracy, and finish standards; partner with QC on inspections.
Enforce OSHA and company safety policies; conduct toolbox talks; maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
Execute daily/weekly production plan; identify bottlenecks and adjust staffing or sequencing to hit targets.
Track production counts, scrap/rework, labor hours, downtime, and daily shift notes.
