Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a high-energy Senior Category Manager to lead one of our major procurement categories in the Americas. You will interface with all levels and with suppliers, shaping strategy and delivering value across cost, quality and supply.

Based in Bloomington, MN, you will drive sourcing programs for Castings, negotiate terms, develop supplier relationships, and partner with plants and distribution centers to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations for our customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field with 5–7 years sourcing experience.
• Strong data analytics skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Advanced English level and experience in automotive/manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Defines procurement strategy for the Castings Commodity to meet supply and financial objectives.
• Monitors markets and uses info to refine strategies; conducts fact-based negotiations.
• Communicates commodity strategies and trends to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manages pricing to align with market conditions and achieve year-over-year cost reductions.
• Identifies, on-boards and develops suppliers aligned with strategic sourcing objectives.
• Supports plant and distribution center teams for aligned, efficient operations.
• Engages Supplier Quality Management in development to reach 50 PPM quality levels.
• Performs risk assessments of the supply base and implements countermeasures.
