This full-time, non-exempt position requires precise accounting skills, ability to work independently, and strong attention to detail in a busy government office environment located in Indiana.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of tax collection policies and procedures helpful.
• Working knowledge of standard accounting practices and office procedures.

Responsibilities

• Open vault and cash drawer, balance at end of day, and secure vault.
• Process tax payments received by mail and in person; assist colleagues.
• Train new cashiers and respond to questions from staff.
• Receive card payments, process voids and adjustments as needed.
• Answer calls and provide information or direct to correct department.
• Perform Accounting Clerk duties in absence or as needed.
