The Senior Cashier has immediate charge of a large cashiering group engaged in the receipt and disbursement of cash, valuables, and negotiable instruments. Responsibilities include the supervision of a large cashiering unit or by its responsibility for assisting in the direction of the activities and personnel of a large cashiering division requiring the supervision of large numbers of recurrent personnel during peak collection periods.
Three (3) years of office clerical experience, two (2) years of which must have been in the handling of cash receipts or disbursements and in the keeping of cash records.
2 – Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending, stooping, or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.

This examination will evaluate the training, experience and desirable qualifications you list on a questionnaire and assign a score based on a standardized scoring system. This assessment is worth 100% of your total score. Additional points will be awarded to qualified applicants who demonstrate any of the Desirable Qualifications in their response on the Supplemental Questionnaire.
APPLICANTS MUST RECEIVE A PASSING SCORE OF 70% OR HIGHER ON THE ASSESSMENT TO BE ADDED TO THE LIST.
Applicants who passed the assessment are placed on the eligible list for a period of six (6) months. We will use this list to fill vacancies in the RR/CC as they occur. Appointees may be required to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
