Discovery Village Clear Lake is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to enrich the lives of our residents through hands-on care and companionship. You will support daily activities, assist with personal care, and help maintain a safe, home-like environment.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred for this role.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Prior experience with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, staff and leadership.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach with good customer service.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain safe, respectful care.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
• Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
• Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well-being
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
• Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
• Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
• Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
• Other duties as assigned
