Job summary

Discovery Village Clear Lake in Webster, TX is seeking a Caregiver/Medication Technician for a 2pm to 10pm shift. You will provide hands-on care, administer medications, and support residents in a home-like setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, 18+ years old, and preferred CPR/First Aid. Experience with seniors and CNAs is valued; strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for residents and assist with activities of daily living.
• Administer and observe medications following the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
• Monitor and record resident conditions and report changes.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment in resident areas and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and security systems.
• Communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff about care needs.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and confidentiality policies are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
