Job summary

Irvine Cottages LLC (DBA, Irvine Cottages & Granny’s Place) in Irvine, CA is seeking a Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities and other care needs, reporting to the Executive Administrator.

The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, compassionate, responsible, and energetic, with flexibility to adapt to changing directions and strong communication to convey resident changes and concerns.

Qualifications

• Criminal background clearance required by state.
• Caregiving: 1 year experience in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Home Care or other direct care experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work with older adults, including willingness to work with those with behavioral challenges
• Experience with dementia care and Hoyer lifts is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transferring.
• Assist residents with self-administration of medications.
• Engage residents with activities.
• Documentation/communication of resident's activities, ADLs, and changes.
• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu, with modifications for dietary needs.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support individuals with dementia.
• Ensure resident confidentiality.
