Job summary

Broomcroft House Care Home in Sheffield is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to lead a dedicated team and deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will work alongside the nurse on clinical duties, observe care plans, and ensure accurate record keeping.

The role requires building strong relationships with residents, families, and external teams. We offer a permanent full-time contract with shift patterns including alternate weekends, with salary in the advertised range.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 in care or working towards it.
• Motivated, positive, great interpersonal skills.
• Experience in running a unit and assisting with clinical duties.

Responsibilities

• Run a care unit on a day-to-day basis.
• Assist with clinical duties, monitor care plans and records.
• Lead and supervise Care Assistants; manage shift handovers.
• Support training and onboarding of new staff.
• Build relationships with residents and families, GPs, and District Nurses.
• Assist residents with personal care duties.
