Job summary

Avon Search is recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant / Team Leader at a well-established nursing and dementia care home in Wiltshire. The role focuses on leading day shifts, delivering compassionate, person-centred care, and mentoring the care team within a not-for-profit charitable foundation.

Qualifications

• Experience in nursing/residential/dementia care setting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support care staff during day shifts.
• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Support medication administration and monitoring.
• Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
• Promote a safe, positive, welcoming environment.
• Support residents’ wellbeing, independence and engagement.
• Act as a mentor for the wider care team.
