Job summary

Miami Jewish Health is seeking a Driver to provide off-campus transportation for residents, tenants, and clients. You will transport clients to MJHS satellite facilities, doctors, and clinics, while assisting with wheelchairs and safety procedures.

The role requires a Florida CDL with passenger endorsement preferred, two years’ bus-driving experience (wheelchair accessibility preferred), and a valid CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience driving passenger bus or larger, with wheelchair accessibility preferred.
• One-year experience in carrying elderly and/or disabled passengers.
• Current Florida Commercial Driver’s License Class A, B or C with passenger endorsement preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of Dade County streets.
• Able to speak, read and write English; maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transports persons to and from MJH and other locations.
• Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner.
• Maintains vehicles in standard working condition and clean; reports maintenance needs immediately.
• Maintains passenger logs and reports accidents/incidents per protocol.
• Performs courier and banking functions as needed.
• Follows department safety policies and participates in meetings as required.
