Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in South Florida seeks a Driver to provide off-campus transportation for residents and clients, moving them between community sites, MJH satellite facilities, doctors and clinics.

The role requires safe driving, assisting passengers, maintaining logs, and cooperating with the Multidisciplinary Team. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; two years of passenger-vehicle driving experience and CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience driving passenger bus or larger, with wheelchair accessibility preferred.
• One-year experience in carrying elderly and/or disabled passengers.
• Current Florida CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports persons to and from MJH and other locations.
• Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner. Deals with medical equipment and other emergencies that may arise
• Maintains vehicles in standard working condition and clean. Reports any needs for maintenance immediately
• Maintains necessary documentation such as passenger logs
• Reports accidents and/or incidents immediately, per established department protocol
• Performs courier and banking functions as needed
• Follows all department safety policies and procedures at all times
• Participates as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team and attends department meetings and in-services as necessary
