Job summary

Miami Jewish Health in Miami, FL is seeking a Driver to transport residents, tenants and clients to MJH and satellite facilities, doctors, and clinics.

You will assist passengers in boarding and alighting, handle medical equipment, and keep vehicle logs while maintaining safety and service quality. This role requires a valid Florida CDL with passenger endorsement, a strong driving record, and the ability to work with elderly and disabled individuals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years’ experience driving passenger bus or larger, with wheelchair accessibility preferred.
• One-year experience in carrying elderly and/or disabled passengers.
• Current Florida Commercial Driver’s License Class A, B or C with passenger endorsement preferred.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports persons to and from MJH and other locations.
• Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner.
• Deals with medical equipment and other emergencies that may arise.
• Maintains vehicles in standard working condition and clean.
• Reports any needs for maintenance immediately.
• Maintains necessary documentation such as passenger logs.
• Reports accidents and/or incidents immediately, per established department protocol.
